Draw Straight Lines

Drawing straight lines are the first hack that a designer must know. The shortcut used for this is to hold down the shift key while using the paintbrush tool. This is a simple and a super quick way to get a straight line.

Create Color Swatches from Images

The steps to create a color palette from an image or an artwork are as follows.

  1. Open your Image in Photoshop.
  2. Suppose you want to reduce the number of colors in the image down to 256 then select
    Convert color mode> Image -> Mode -> Indexed.
    Set the number of colors to 256 in the indexed color dialog box.
    Set Forced to None and Dither to None. Click OK.
    A color table will be created when you converted to indexed color.
  3. Choose Image -> Mode -> Color Table, to view the image and the colors selected from it.
