Shekhar working as an art director in a leading advertising agency. He said : Photography is my passion. It’s the energy that keeps me alive and helps me when I need it. Even while making an art piece at my profession or when I am doing nothing.
Since the college days I have been living with my camera and telling stories through images clicked from it. Art direction is what I like the most. And the reason why I am in advertising. Though I know getting “Image of the day”, “Month” etc. awards on some of the best photography sites is not enough, but still I pray a lot to get those titles.
Getting work published in media like coffee table book, book cover, ads, web, etc. seems good but not much.
Never got much publicity in photography but somehow managed to get nominated in Cannes festival in 2011 – Cannes Also photography festival.
One of the stock image companies gave me the chance to do photography in Thailand for a week as a prize for being the winner in 2010.
